Shortly after this picture was taken, we removed this all-glass, 60-pound antique and replaced it with a much lighter plastic model.It's currently gathering dust in my garage. I'm thinking of mounting it upside down above my front door and using it to light my front patio.
When I turned in the pics to the customer, he said he wanted the old beacon. I told him the rope broke and it shattered on impact. He believed me. Then he saw it sitting in my garage. I gave him a beer and all was forgiven.

If you mount it over the door, will your house be a red light district. Then what will you mount?
