iPhone Pics

Every now and then, Ray likes to remind me that he's laying under the desk.
The guys getting geared up for a particularly dangerous job.

Here at work, Ray must be kept in his "designated area"
so he won't get run over by a forklift or someone with
steel-toed boots.

Green Technology Comes to Auxvasse, MO

Installing a hybrid solar/wind system at a
remote site in Auxvasse, MO to offset utility expenses.
This is the "solar" half of the equation.
(We don't know how well it will react to falling ice yet)

Flying the Turbines

Flying the "wind" half of the equation.

At 150', this is the highest elevation this system
has been installed in the United States.
So we made history on June 30, 2010.
Guiness should be sending us our certificates soon.

Landing The Turbines

Second turbine landed, time to turn it on...right?
If it looks crooked, it's an optical illusion.

Yes, that's smoke pouring off the turbines...
because they are awesome.

Making it Happen

Peter and Shawn, of PB Telecom, are
oustanding in their field.

Customer-Liasons

Adam Andersen (his site) and Matt Gulsvig lend
their expertise as they oversee the installation.
(Translation: Make sure we don't break their tower)

Mind the Beans

Matt Elliott deftly tags the load while
carefully avoiding trampling the soybeans.

Wirey Mike

Or is it "wiry"? I don't know, but Mike looks pretty wirey
as he pulls SO cable off the spools.
If he'd known I was taking this picture, he said he
would have oiled up first.

Shade

As soon as we had the solar panels in place, Matt and Steve got under
there and acted like wiring the cabinet was an all-day affair.

The Record-Holders

Basking in the glory of knowing that
their tans are deeper now than yesterday.

Fake Tower Times Cover

Yes, I made this myself.
No, I didn't win the contest (as far as I know).
But even if I don't, I can at least fake it to impress chicks.
Also, I sent this to the customer and he crapped himself.

Weird Stuff Found on Site #1

First in our series of "weird stuff found on sites": The "Stop Theft" sign.
Josh Jett is credited with this find.
No, he did not steal it. He found it in the grass.
Adam and several others noted that the guy is wearing a leather jacket.
...because guys in leather jackets steal shit.
Adam's favorite facial expression.
